| Abstrakt | Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou zobrazení queer a trans postav a queer tematiky v operní tvorbě. V úvodu je představen teoretický rámec, který definuje klíčové pojmy v kontextu genderových identit a queer kultury. Následně je představena historie zobrazování queer postav v opeře a první známé případy jejich zastoupení. Hlavní část práce se zaměřuje na analýzu vybraných oper s trans a queer postavami a tematikou. Jsou zkoumány opery s implicitní queer tematikou, jako je "Dalibor" od Bedřicha Smetany a "Elektra" od Richarda Strausse, a opery s otevřeně probíranou queer tematikou, například "Fire Shut Up in My Bones" od Terence Blancharda, "Lili Elbe" od Tobiase Pickera a "Alexina B" od Raquel García-Tomás. V závěru práce je posouzeno zastoupení LGBTQIA+ operních děl a osobností v globálním a lokálním měřítku. Jsou prezentovány významné queer osobnosti v opeře a jejich zkušenosti v operním světě, stejně jako iniciativy zaměřené na podporu LGBTQIA+ komunity v hudebním prostředí. Tato práce si klade za cíl přispět k rozšíření poznatků o queer a trans reprezentaci v opeře v rámci akademické obce a otevírá diskusi o inkluzi v uměleckém prostředí. |
| Překlad abstraktu | The thesis deals with the analysis of the portrayal of queer and trans characters and queer themes in opera. In the introduction, a theoretical framework is presented that defines key concepts in the context of gender identities and queer culture. The history of the portrayal of queer characters in opera and the first known instances of their representation are then presented. The main part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of selected operas with trans and queer characters and themes. Operas with implicit queer themes, such as Bedřich Smetana's "Dalibor," and Richard Strauss's "Elektra,“and operas with overtly discussed queer themes, such as Terence Blanchard's "Fire Shut Up in My Bones," Tobias Picker's "Lili Elbe," and Raquel García-Tomás's "Alexina B," are examined. The thesis concludes with a discussion of the representation of LGBTQIA+ operas and personalities on a global and local scale. Prominent queer figures in opera and their experiences in the operatic world are presented, as well as initiatives aimed at supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in the musical environment. This thesis aims to contribute to the expansion of knowledge about queer and trans representation in opera within the academic community and opens up the discussion about inclusivity in the artistic environment. |
